Sandor Teszler Library Mission Statement

The Mission of the Sandor Teszler Library is to be an active, collaborative partner in the educational endeavors of Wofford College by providing expert service, an evolving array of information resources that support the educational programs of the College, and diverse, innovative spaces for the ever-changing nature of patron interaction with technology.

II.  Purpose of the Collection Management Policy

The purpose of this policy is to promote effective management of the library’s general collections based on the needs of Wofford College, its curriculum and users. This policy outlines who is responsible for selecting and ordering materials, as well as the formats and types of materials. Policies concerning collection evaluation, deaccession/cancellation, and replacement are outlined in this document. In addition to the general collection, the Sandor Teszler Library also includes special collections and the archives of the College and the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, which are governed by the Special Collections Management Policy and the Archives Collection Management Policy, respectively.
