LIBA 101: German Pop Culture (Dr. Krick-Aigner)

Exploring Cultural Artifacts

When you need basic information about a topic, encyclopedias are a great starting point. They offer short, factual articles that do not make an argument. You can use encyclopedia articles (sometimes called "reference sources") to learn background information and find important keywords or ideas related to your topic.

To find online encyclopedia articles about your topic, enter your search into OneSearch, then choose "Full Text Online" from the left column.

Next, scroll down to Resource Type and select "Reference Entries." You may need to click on "Show More" to find the listing.

Click on the "Available Online" link to access the encyclopedia article.

On the next page, choose any of the links under View Online to connect to the book. You may be asked to log in with your MyWofford credentials at this point.
