ARTH 330: Museum Studies: Digital Portfolio

Digital Portfolio Assignment

The digital portfolio is a collection of digital artifacts that are shared electronically for reflection, comment, and evaluation. It is a website that enables users to collate digital evidence of their learning. Digital portfolios may contain a wide range of digital files, including text documents, videos, sound files, images, and links to online resources.

As a part of the assignment, you will be working with two different Google applications, Google Sites and Google Drive. You will need to create a folder on Google Drive and a website on Google Sites. You will be using Google Drive to host the files and images. Import these into Google Sites to make your website.

Over the semester you have created digital files that will be used to create your digital portfolio. You may also want to take photographs or create videos to add to your portfolio. Gather your digital files and add them to a Google Drive folder. Make sure to set the folder to share with "anyone with the link" to have your files show up on your Google Slides website.

Your portfolio will also include a list of citations from your research in museum education and exhibit planning. Keep a detailed record of all your sources as you collect content for your digital portfolio. Do not forget to add citations from your research paper. You will use this information for your citation page using Chicago style.

Before submitting the draft and final versions of your portfolio, publish your website and make all content in your folder on Google Drive available for anyone with the link. If you do not do these two essential steps the website will not work.
